The rumor mills know all about Colby and David.  The rumor mills say it’s because they two adult men who just weren’t getting enough in the real world.

What the rumor mills didn’t know is there’s a lot more to them.

The rumor mill doesn’t know how much they need each other.

It doesn’t know that sometimes after a hard case the only reason either of them manages to get up the next morning is because they spent the night wrapped in each other’s arms.

It doesn’t know that when David’s in a firefight with a suspect and bullets are flying and his nerves are racing he can actually feel his partner and draws strength from his presence.

It doesn’t know that when Colby met David he wanted to be honest to him about who he was. It doesn’t know that Colby’s biggest fear is seeing the pain and betrayal again in his lover’s eyes that he saw the day he was ousted as a spy.

It doesn’t know that David just wants Colby. It doesn’t know that as much as he loves his job he’s waiting for the day when they can just leave it all behind…together.
